愛知万博で冷凍マンモスの展示
１１／１７の３ｃｈ（のニュースだったと思う）の中で、
冷凍マンモスの話が出ていた。
頭部と前脚の一部等がかなり良い状態で発見されていて、
「愛知万博」で展示されることになっているとのこと。
もうすぐ日本に送られてくるそうです。
いつ見つかったのか？展示よりマンモスの再生計画に利用
すべきなのでは？ よくロシアが貸してくれたのね・・・等
ＴＶの番組の紹介を見た時にはそんな感想だったが、
実際ググって確認すると事情は違ったみたい。
でも、マンモスの絶滅の謎の解明や再生計画は、古生物学に
興味がある人だけでなく、私を含む多くの人の「夢」だと思う。
胴体の部分はなくて全身発掘・展示は断念したそうだが、
脳が保存されていたり、かなり良好な保存状態だったのだから
新しい研究成果は期待したい。
